Building Bridges – A Journey Toward Effective Leadership
Meine eigene Reise
Learn more about my professional background and the path that led me to my calling.
Even as a student, one question deeply moved me:
How can I make a positive impact in the world?
What kind of work would truly serve that purpose?
An old black-and-white film about bridge building touched me — not because of the engineering, but because of the idea behind it: connecting people.
I wanted to become a bridge builder.
At first, quite literally — architecture and engineering seemed like the logical path.
But an internship on a construction site showed me that my true work lay elsewhere.
“The meaning of life is to give life meaning.” – Viktor Frankl
I went on to study Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, and Human Resources, inspired by a consultant friend who demonstrated what becomes possible when people are allowed to take responsibility and find meaning in their work.
After graduating, I followed the voice of reason: career, stability, family.
But even then, the idea of building bridges never left me.
Time and again, I created impulses — for self-organizing teams, genuine transformation, and more humanity within organizations.
I worked with large consulting firms, took on leadership roles, and gained extensive experience in implementing deep organizational change.
In 2005, I founded my own consulting company with a colleague.
Our focus: leadership and high performance in self-managed teams.
We were successful — at least from the outside.
Inside, I began to lose my balance.
The drive for security, the birth of our third child, building a house, and a large, soulless client project eventually led me into burnout.
I stepped away — for almost two years.
And that time of withdrawal became the source of new strength.
I dedicated myself to mental health at work, offered coaching and seminars — but financial success didn’t follow.
That period taught me a lot.
Above all: I must never work against my own inner alignment.
“Work is love made visible.” – Khalil Gibran
I remembered what had driven me from the beginning:
to help people build bridges — to themselves, to others, and to a future they want to actively shape.
I completed an Integral Coaching training (one of several along the way) — and that’s where I met Anja.
Our connection turned out to be a true blessing, both professionally and personally.
Together, we discovered the Leadership Circle Profile® — a tool that has profoundly influenced our work.
It bridges awareness and effectiveness, makes development visible, and shows leaders how they can truly transform themselves and their organizations.
“Creating spaces for real development – with heart and mind.”
Today, as a coach, I accompany leaders and teams who are ready to take courageous steps and make the world a slightly better place.
I help them build the bridges they need for their next stage of growth — bridges of insight, trust, and purposeful impact.
And yes — my own journey continues.
Beyond coaching, I’m engaged in local politics, helping to shape the future right where I live.
True to the principle: Think global, act local.
In my private life, you’ll often find me on my bike, exploring new paths, at the piano (as a late learner), or in the woods with my wife and our dog.
“True leadership begins with being fully human – courageous, connected, and impactful.”
Guiding Principles of My Life and Work:

Goal Achievement
Authenticity
Creativity

I accompany leaders through challenging transition phases — whether it’s stepping into a new role, leading transformations, or achieving impactful results in a volatile environment.
My coaching goes beyond traditional leadership development.
In a world often dominated by hyper-rational thinking, I help leaders reclaim perception, emotional awareness, and presence as essential leadership qualities.
I integrate tools such as the Leadership Circle Profile™, enabling clients to reflect on their behavior and discover new pathways for personal growth — even in times of uncertainty and disruption.
Rationally and emotionally. For sustainable transformation.
How I Work with People
Individual Coaching
You will gain new perspectives — about yourself and the people around you.
These new insights will help you respond differently to situations that currently challenge or frustrate you.
You’ll experience how reflection and mindfulness create the freedom to choose your responses and to act in ways that generate the impact that truly matters to you.
Working with me strengthens your sense of self-efficacy and deepens your personal presence.
Team Development
Your team will get to know each other on a deeper level and build trust.
This foundation will allow the team to engage in constructive conflict and recognize that focusing solely on tasks does not necessarily lead to faster or better results.
The team will learn to hear and value all voices in the room, leading to better decisions that everyone can stand behind.
Ultimately, the team will be empowered to collaborate more effectively and sustainably.
